Consumer Rights Day is a regular nationwide roadshow run by the Consumer Protection team and brings together speakers from a broad range of organisations to present to community advisers who regularly deal with clients that have consumer-related complaints.
Attendees can build on their existing understanding of consumer rights law, find out where to direct clients for help with complex problems and speak directly to representatives from the organisations presenting on the day.
The specific focus of the next event, to be held on 21 March in Christchurch, is to use case studies that draw on real situations and common problems and provide community advisers with effective solutions for clients.
